Agatha Manley Weinfurtner, 101, of Ashland, Ky, died Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017, in Oakmont Manor in
Agatha was born June 15, 1916, in Boyd Co., Ky, a daughter of the late Joseph Frances Sr. and Dora Henry Manley.
Agatha was proceed in death in addition to her parents by her husband of 62 years, Frank (Tony) Weinfurtner; three sisters, Marilyn Henneman, Wanda Conley and Azalea Osborne; a brother, Joseph Manley Jr.; one granddaughter, Gretchen Leszezynski. She is survived by four sons and their spouses, Louis (Tony) and Brenda, Butch and Paula, Michael and Lee Ann and Kevin Weinfurtner; five granddaughters, Kelli Whitt, Leslie Barrett, Shan Weinfurtner, Katherine Weinfurtner and Leigh Ann Romer; three grandsons, Tony Weinfurtner, Andy Weinfurtner and Jared Weinfurtner, 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Agatha was a life long member of Holy Family Church where she will be remembered for her piano playing, everywhere and when ever asked, including rest homes. She played the organ for over 20 years at church, she had a wonderful shoe collection, she became a volunteer and worked in the American Heart Association in the office for over 40 yrs. She ran the collection drive for two years, she was a bridge player and worked on many committees for her church.
A mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Church by Rev. John Noe with burial in Calvary Cemetery in Ashland.
Friends may call at the church one hour before services on Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2017.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Lazear Funeral Home in Ashland, Ky.
