Alice Kay Johnson, 75, of Load, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.
She was born April 10, 1942, in Lynn, a daughter of the late Joe Vernon and Doris Elouise Meadows Allen.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Joe Allen.
She was a teacher, high school principal and education administrator for Greenup County School Systems, an instructor at Ashland Community College and a member of the Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband, Roger Lee Johnson; a daughter, Joetta Leigh Campbell and husband Neymon of Tallahassee, Fla.; two grandchildren, Kenton Colley of Louisville and Kayla Herren and husband Zach of Summerville, S.C.; two great-grandchildren, Easton Herren and Kenleigh Herren; and a host of extended family, former students and friends.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017, at Wright's Funeral home in Greenup with Brother John Brown officiating.
Burial will be in Brick Union Cemetery in Lloyd.
Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Friday and after 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
