Alicia Hignite, 37, of Lexington, formerly of Wheelwright, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017, in Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington.
She was born May 21, 1979, in Pikeville, a daughter of Jerry and Barbara Branham Hall.
Alicia was a graduate of South Floyd High School and a 2002 graduate of Morehead State University, where she was member of the Kappa Delta Sorority. She was a member of Turning Point Church in Lexington. Alicia was a very devoted loving wife and a loving mother of two daughters. She enjoyed helping others and was involved in Mothers of Preschoolers with the Journey Church in Versailles.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Robert "Rob"; two daughters, Kerington Elizabeth and Kadence Noelle, both at home; a sister, Andrea (Matt) Porter of Grayson; a father-in-law, Mitch (Debbie) Hignite of Grayson; a mother-in-law, Vicki (Dan) Boster of Grayson; a niece, Sarah Porter; and a nephew, Gabe Porter of Grayson, who affectionately called her "Big Sissy".
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson with Minister Josh Mauney officiating. Burial will in East Carter County Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2017, and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
