Alma Lois Burchett Ramey Alma Lois Burchett Ramey, 86, of Grayson, KY, passed away Monday evening, February 5, 2018, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, KY.
She was born February 14, 1931, in Carter County, KY, a daughter of the late Edward and Myrtle Dailey Burchett.
Alma was of the Christian faith and worked as a veterans representative for the state in Ashland.
She enjoyed shopping, going to flea markets and spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Vernon Lee Ramey; one son, Joseph A. Ramey; and two brothers, Ray Burchett and James Burchett.
Alma is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, James Ramey and Peggie, Vernon Ramey and Angie and John Ramey all of Grayson; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Judith Ramey and Joanne Caskey and Phillip all of Grayson, and Jean Marie Carper and John of Greenup, KY; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Dave Burchett and Linda of Olive Hill, KY; and four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Eunice Payne of Corbin, KY, Phyllis Frazier and Joe of Mt. Sterling, KY, Linda Evans and Jerry of Mansfield, OH, and Mary Lewis of Grayson. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday February 8, 2018, at Grayson Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Grayson with Brother Bobby Bond officiating. Burial will follow in the Grayson Memorial Park in Grayson.
Friends may visit from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, February 7, 2018, and after 9 a.m. Thursday at Grayson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 49 McCoy Road, Grayson, Kentucky 41143.
Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
