Buck Mullins, 81, of Ashland, husband of Anna Sammons Mullins, died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018, in King's Daughters Medical Center, following a sudden illness.
Buck was born Oct. 27, 1936, in Bruin, a son of the late Ray and Nanny Evans Mullins Hall.
In addition to his parents, Buck was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Ray Mullins; a son-in-law, Timothy Sexton; a stepmother, Eunice Mullins Griffey; four brothers, Dean and J.C. Mullins, Gary and Mitchell Hall; and three sisters, Gracie Rogers, Patty Brown, and Donna Gillam.
He was a member of Ashland Heights Wesleyan Church, Maysville Wesleyan Camp Board and a union Barber for the past 59 years in Ashland.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by a son, Pastor Mark Mullins and wife Terri of Thomasville, N.C.; two daughters, Tena Sexton of Ashland and Kelly McKenzie and husband Cameron of Morehead; two sisters, Janet Wilson and husband Clyde of Olive Hill and Barb Eaton and husband Norman of Columbus, Ohio; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren and expecting the 10th.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018, at Preston Family Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
