Amos Leadingham, 75, of Greenup, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, Aug. 31, 2017, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.
Amos was born Nov. 2, 1941, in Argillite, the son of Gwendylon Allen Leadingham Henry of Greenup and the late George Leadingham.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, William Shannon Leadingham.
He retired as a melter from Armco Steel and was a master carpenter and woodworker. Amos was a U.S. Navy Vietnam Veteran, a member of VFW and AmVets in Greenup and American Legion Post 43 in Raceland, where he was a former Commander.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife, Patsy Litteral Leadingham; one son, Chris (Denise Nelson) Leadingham of Mt. Sterling; two brothers, Larry (Lisa) Leadingham of Toledo Bend, Texas and Danny (Susie) Leadingham of Argillite; one grandson, Zack Leadingham; and one great-granddaughter, Maya Gale Leadingham.
Funeral services will be at noon Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2017, at Reed Funeral Home in Greenup with Minister Charles Greene Officiating. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North East in Greenup County with military rites by Kenova American Legion Post 93 Honor Guard.
Visitation will be after 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
