Barbara Elkins Barbara Estelle Elkins 82 of Russell passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.
Barb was born September 29, 1936 in Ashland to the late George and Ethel Harris Robinson.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one daughter Belinda Hall; two brothers Don Robinson and Proc Robinson; and one brother in law Denny Whitt.
Barb was the former office manager for Robinson Trucking and a member of the Order of Eastern Star 569 Westwood Chapter for over 50 years.
She leaves behind her loving husband of 64 years James "Buck" Elkins; two daughters Beverly Little of Reynoldsburg, Ohio and Bethany Thompson (Wade) of Bellefonte; two brothers Mike Robinson (Susan) of Ashland and Joe Robinson (Mary) of Russell; one sister Bonnie Whitt of Flatwoods; one son in law James Hall of Burgaw, N.C.; two sister in laws Donna Robinson of Ashland and Janet Griffith of Florida; three grandchildren Samantha Little and Taylor Little both of Reynoldsburg, Ohio and Tori Gardner of Charlotte, N.C.; and many nieces and nephews, along with a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 16 at Heritage Free Will Baptist Church in Cannonsburg with Rev. Ed Cook officiating. Burial will follow at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods. Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Caniff Funeral Home in Westwood.

We have many wonderful memories of time spent with this lovely lady. Her quiet grace and sweet smile was ever present even in the midst of her physical difficulties and sad times of loss. We will cherish her memory forever and look forward to seeing her again in our everlasting home in heaven with our Lord.
