Betty's Story

Betty Lois Everman Stephens, 85, of Grayson, passed away Friday, Aug. 25, 2017, at her residence.
She was born Jan. 26, 1932, in Grayson, a daughter of the late Rev. Raymond and Mollie Wilson Everman.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Charles Edward Everman and a son, Phillip Stephens.
She was a retired seamstress and member of Three Pine Freewill Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Jeannie Stephens of Grayson; two sisters, Wilma Miller of Grayson and Barbara Wilson of Georgia; two grandchildren, Andrea (Shannon) Johnston of Grayson and John (Alicen) Stephens of Gregoryville; two great-granddaughters, Kyser and Parker Stephens; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2017, at Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson with Minister Gary Sparks officiating. Burial will be in Everman Cemetery in Gregoryville.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, Aug. 28, 2017, at the funeral home.
