Betty May Johnson, 78, formerly of Ashland, passed away Thursday, Sept. 21, 2017, at Harbor Healthcare Center in Ironton, Ohio.
She was born March 25, 1939, in McDermit, Ohio, the daughter of the late Leroy and Olga Koch Fulk.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert B. Johnson, in 2001; three siblings, Robert Fulk, Kenneth Fulk and Loma Childers; and a son-in-law, David Irwin.
Betty was a 1958 graduate of Ashland Senior High School.
She lived in Jackson Township for 29 years and was a member of Calvary Chapel. She returned to Ashland in 1999 was an active member of First United Methodist Church.
Betty is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Leonard and Kristie Johnson of Ashland; a daughter, Aletha Irwin of Alexandria, Ohio; five granddaughters, Nikki (Kenny), Abey, Orion, Lyra and Aja; and one great-grandson.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 25, 2017, at Heitger Funeral Home - Jackson Chapel in Massillon, Ohio, with Rev. Richard LaPehn officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Gardens in Jewett, Ohio.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m Monday at the funeral home.
