Bobby Joe Jenkins 61 of Greenup went to be with the lord on Friday, November 30, 2018 after a long, heroic battle with cancer.
He was born at home on Whetstone Road in Greenup County on July 6, 1957 a son of the late James Hayden & Gladys Adams Jenkins.
He was a self employed logger and attended the Load Independent Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Christine "Tina" Jenkins.
He is survived by two sons, Jeremy Jenkins of Flatwoods and Matthew Jenkins and his wife Colette of Grayson; a daughter, Patty Jo Demere and her husband Lyle of Naples FL; four brothers, James Jenkins of Argillite, Donald Jenkins of Greenup, Michael Jenkins and his wife Debbie of Sadieville and Donald Kegley of Canton OH; six sisters, Brenda Litteral of Greenup, Patty Gifford of York, Diana Sue Hall of Greenup, Reda Harris of Hillsboro, Gail Jenkins of Greenup and Karen Miller and her husband Gordie of Greenup; nine grandchildren, Little Matt, Samantha, Tyler, Sierra, Brandon, Andrew, Waylon, Olivia and Augustus; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Wright's Funeral Home in Greenup KY by Brothers Kevin Witt and Ron Ball.
Burial will follow in the Ash - Montgomery Cemetery in Greenup County.
Visitation will be 6:00 PM Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at the funeral home.

Bobby was a good man who loved his family and friends. Bobby was a very hard worker and loved his logging. I remember the time he taught my son to strip tobacco. Tina , Bobby and I had a lot of laughs.. Bobby will forever be in our hearts. Till we meet again!!
