Bobby Mayo, 85, of Grayson, died Saturday, October 28, 2017 at the Community Hospice Center in Ashland.
She was born Dec. 30, 1931, in Grayson, a daughter of the late Lovell and Bertha Davis.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Otha Mayo; three sons, Otha Edward Mayo, Ronald Dean Mayo and Donald Gene Mayo; a grandson, Joey Sexton; a great-grandson, Casey Joe Elliott; and several brothers and sisters.
Bobby was a loving mother and worked at Cowden Manufacturing in Olive Hill. She was a 50 year member of New Hope Church of God.
She is survived by a son, Robert "Bo" (Carol) Mayo of Grayson; three daughters, Marilyn Kay (Kenneth) Choate of Abbyville, La., Gwen Mayo of Salty Harbor, Fla., and Deanna Mayo-Familton of Lexington; a brother, Darrell Davis of Grant, Ala.; two sisters, Dorothy Kouns of Portsmouth, Ohio and Shirley Reed of Grayson; nine grandchildren, Charlie Mayo, Christy Mayo McMillen, Bub Mayo, Carla Elliott, James Gray, Rick Horton, Mike Horton, Noah Gray and Adam Gray; and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2017, at New Hope Church of God with Mark Griffin officiating. Entombment will be in East Carter County Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, Oct. 30, 2017, at Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson.
