Carl "Red"'s Story
Carl "Red" Riffe, 86, of Grayson, went to be with his Lord on Friday, May 11, 2018, in Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, WV.
Red was born August 19, 1931, in Grayson, a son of the late James Lewis and Jessie Medley Riffe. He was retired from General Refactories in Hitchins, member of Trimble Lodge F.&A.M #145 and proudly served his country in the Navy during the Korean Conflict.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Remondia Blair Riffe; three brothers, Orville Lewis Riffe, Nelms Riffe and Nelson Riffe; grandson, Matthew Ross. He is survived by his wife Wilma Deerfield Riffe; three daughters, Gina (Steve) Cielec of Scottown OH, Carla (David) Bottorff of Irvine KY, Janie (Bill) Kitchen of Grayson; one son, Mike (Linda) Ross of Berea KY; eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren; two nieces and a nephew.
Services will be conducted Tuesday 11 a.m. at Malone Funeral Home with Jim Harris and Tom Riffe, ministers. Burial will be in the East Carter County Memory Gardens.
Friends may call Monday from 6 - 9 p.m., and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at funeral home.
