Carol Sue Waugh Johnson Rice, 69, of Grayson, went to be with her Lord Wednesday, May 17, 2017, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.
She was born Oct. 4, 1947, in Grayson, a daughter of the late Charles Hayden and Mary Lou Valandingham Waugh.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Earl Rice in 2014; and two sisters, Jennifer Waugh and Lisa Skaggs.
She was a member of Pleasant Valley Church.
She is survived by two sons, Hubert "Hub" Johnson and wife Kara of Grayson and James "Jay" Johnson of Grayson; three brothers, Chanie Waugh of Carter City, Jeff Waugh of Olive Hill and Doug Waugh of Belfast; six sisters, Conechia Johnson of Grayson, Tiretha Mauk of Grayson, Belva Schumacher of Grayson, Dawn Mauk of Flemingsburg, Loushetta Jordan of Ashland and Sherry Waugh of Olive Hill; and three grandchildren, Makaila Johnson's mamaw and Nathan Watkins and Brady Johnson's nan.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 20, 2017, at Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with Ed Jones officiating. Burial will be in Cribbs Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. till 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
