Charlene White Barnett, 88, of Catlettsburg, passed away Friday, Feb. 10, 2017, in Boyd County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Barnett was born Oct. 13, 1928, in Boyd County, to the late James H. and Thircie Pearl Thompson White. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Barnett; great-grandson Matthew Armstrong; brothers Curtis White and Estill White; a sister, Shirley White Conley; a niece, Michaelann Conley; and sisters-in-law, Janet White and Lola White.
Charlene enjoyed cooking and baking and was a professional baker for several years at the Chimney Corner and Landmark Inn. She was a member of Hyland Heights Baptist Church.
Charlene is survived by her daughters, Donna Gail Barnett Smith and her husband, John, of Ashland and Tina Lynn Barnett Bush and her husband, Gary, of Catlettsburg; granddaughters Debra Smith Lawson (Donnie) of Ashland and Allison Renee Bush of Catlettsburg; a great-grandson, Jason Keyser; a great-great-granddaughter, Taylor Leigh Ann Armstrong; and a nephew, Charles White (Ruth) of Catlettsburg.
Funeral service for Mrs. Barnett will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017, at Kilgore & Collier Funeral Home, 2702 Panola Street in Catlettsburg. Pastors Jeff Ferguson and Stan Williams will officiate. Final resting place will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens in Ashland.
