Charles Marshall Henson, 75, of Catlettsburg, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2017, in Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell.
Mr. Henson was born Dec. 13, 1941, in Frankfort, son of the late Joseph B. and Lucille J. Cassell Henson. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Douglas Henson.
He was a graduate of St. Xavier High School, served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy and retired as an industrial engineer from CSX. Charles enjoyed golf and fishing. Charlie helped many people in his 34 years being a member of Alcoholics Anonymous.
Left to cherish memories is his adoring wife of 50 years, Rose Ann Woods Henson; daughter Jeanette Henson Branham of Catlettsburg; a son, Charles Brian Henson of Ashland; grandchildren, Maggie Fay Branham, Justin Garrett Goodwin and Mace Logan Branham; a brother, Joseph Henson of Sellersburg, Ind., a sister, Donna Knebel (John) of Louisville; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral service to honor Mr. Henson will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 1, 2017, at Normal Presbyterian Church in Ashland. The Rev. Brian Steele will officiate.
Friends may call after 1 p.m. Saturday at the church.
Kilgore & Collier Funeral Home in Catlettsburg is in charge of arrangements.
