Charles R. Litteral, 85, of Westwood, husband of Juanita Delong Litteral, died peacefully Monday evening, Jan. 30, 2017, with his family by his side, following an extended illness.
Charles was born Aug. 13, 1931, in Ashland, a son of the late Richard Perry and Nancy Elizabeth Kelley Litteral.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Charles Perry Litteral in 1987; and a brother, Joseph Paul Litteral.
He was a member of Westwood Christian Church where he formerly served as a Deacon and was retired from the U.S. Air Force as a TSGT. During his 24 years of service, he served in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He later retired from the Ashland Oil Inc,. Marine Repair Terminal.
He is survived by his loving wife, Juanita; a son, Scott Litteral and wife Kennia of Redondo Beach, Calif.; a daughter, Kara Workman and husband John of Ashland; six grandchildren, Brandon, Bradley, and Jacob Litteral, Amber Setser, and Jemma Workman; and three great-grandchildren, Asher and Elliot Setser, and Emma Litteral.
Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 3, 2017, at Preston Family Funeral Home in Ashland. Burial will be in Dixon Cemetery with full military rites.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m Thursday at the funeral home.
