Chief Warrant Officer 4 (USA, Retired) William's Story
Chief Warrant Officer 4 (USA, Retired) William Robert Weaver, 87, of Dahlonega, Ga., passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017.
William was the son of the late Perry Clyde and Mary Jean Shook Weaver. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Ellen Louise Kiser Weaver; two sons, Karl Lee Weaver and John Barron Weaver; a granddaughter, Kristen Louise Weaver; and a grandson, Christopher Michael Weaver.
William served 32 ½ years in the U.S. Army as a Logistics Officer. During his time in service, he had the honor of serving as a White House guard during the Kennedy/Johnson administration. Dad was a loving husband and the best father!!! He will be missed by those he loved.
William is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, William Robert Weaver, Jr. and wife Judy of Manassas, Va., David Brian and wife Deborah of Dahlonega, Ga., Gary Ross Weaver of Warner Robins, Ga., and Christopher Allen Weaver of Warner Robins, Ga; daughters and sons-in-law, Karen Jean Weaver of Dahlonega, Ga., Marie Annette and Dennis Gooch of Dahlonega, Ga., and Mary Ellen and Brett Turner Gainesville, Ga; a sister, Mary Jean Wessel of Ashland, Ky.; 21 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives.
Funeral services were Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at Concord Baptist Church with The Rev. Lyman Caldwell, The Rev. Roger Dunagan and The Rev. Tony Allison officiating. Interment was in Dahlonega Memorial Park Cemetery.
Banister Funeral Home of Dahlonega is in charge of the arrangements.
