Clifford Edwin "Jack" Williams, 86, soon to be 87, departed this world and arrived in his heavenly home Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018.
Jack was born in February, 25, 1931, in Kenedy, Texas.
Above all things, Jack was known as a faithful believer in Jesus Christ. He was of the Baptist faith and served actively as a deacon in various Baptist Churches in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Jack served his country in in the U.S. Navy in the Korean War from 1948 to 1955. He served on the US Higbee in the Sea of Japan.
Jack was preceded in earthly death and eternal life by his wife of 53 years, Sybil Rebecca Newell Williams.
Left behind to cherish his memories are his children, Clifford Elliot (Shelia) Williams of Flatwoods, James Kenneth Williams of Houston, Texas and Claudie Diane (Kenneth) Williams of Seguin, Texas; three grandchildren, Shawnda (Chance), Jeremy (Alyssa) and Joseph (Allison); and three great-grandchildren, Jeremiah, Michael and Christopher.
A Celebration of Life service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2018, at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods with Pastor Ken Gowin officiating.
Visitation will be after noon Tuesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested in memory of Jack to First Baptist Church, Romanian Missions, PO Box U, Russell, Ky 41169.
The family would like to sincerely express their thanks to the staff at Oakmont's Skilled Nursing Facility, who assisted the family in Jack's care for the past three and half years.
