Donna: I was shocked and saddened to hear of my friends death. I had just talked to him on Tuesday when he was in Honduras. I am so sorry. Would be there but my mother (92) is in rehab and I have to be here to help. I am praying for you all. I always enjoyed my times with David.

What a shock to read this. Pastor David was about as real as people get. His trials, tribulations and triumphs on this side of eternity are over. We mourn our lose but rejoice in his final victory in Christ Jesus. I'd say those who spent time with him would agree with me that we already miss just the idea that he will not longer be with us.

I grew up with David at Hamilton High School. He always had a smile on his face and was making people laugh. I can only imagine the lives he touched by preaching Gods word. I'm certain he has left a legacy that will always be cherished and remembered. My heartfelt prayers are with his wife and family.

I had the privilege to meet with David as part of the New Congregational Development team for the KY East District. He was talkative, energetic and passionate about our work. My personal condolences to his family and church, and all our prayers from the West Liberty UMC.

David opened up his church to counsel and marry my daughter and her fiancé last November. They were trying to find a church close to their reception location. He made such a big impression on them, my husband, and me when he invited us in off the street that day. I only knew Pastor Dave for a few short months, but you could tell his heart was very big. So sorry for the family and the church. You are all in my prayers.
