David Harold Towler

David Harold Towler, 66, of Catlettsburg, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital.
He was born November 26, 1952 in Ashland, the son of the late Harold and Opal Hammond Towler.
David attended Boyd County High School, Rio Grande University, and graduated from the University of Kentucky, majoring in Social Studies. He also received a MA in education from Morehead State University.
He taught for 28 years in the Boyd and Carter County School Systems. He coached basketball for Boyd County High School for 20 years. He was also a member of the Ashland Elks B.P.O.E. 350.
David leaves behind a brother, Steve (Gail) Towler of Ashland; a sister, Ann Towler (Glen) Davis of Oak Hill, Ohio; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Barbara Crum.
At his request, there will be no visitation or services. In memory of David, donations may be made to the church or charity of your choice. Miller Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be sent to mfhfuneralhome.com.
