Debbie Lynn Lewis Schweitzer, 58, of Richmond, formerly of Ashland, peacefully passed away Friday, Aug. 18, 2017, at her residence.
Debbie was born Jan. 7, 1959, in Ashland, a daughter of Theresa Ann Voiers Litteral of Richmond and the late Ronald R. Lewis.
Debbie was a former member of Old Orchard Christian Church and attended First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). She was a 1977 Graduate of Paul Blazer High School, attended Ashland Community College and worked for several years in the payroll department for Ashland Oil. She was a former part owner of Huntington Floral in Huntington, W.Va.
She was very active in her children's sports and will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and homemaker.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her sons, Nick Schweitzer of Lexington and Chase Schweitzer of Lexington; a sister, Rhonda Lewis of Lexington; her adoring grandchildren, Olivia Skye Schweitzer, Raegan Kole Schweitzer and Rylan Tate Schweitzer.
Funeral services to celebrate Debbie's life will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2017, at Steen Funeral Home Central Avenue Chapel with Minister Marty Voiers officiating. Entombment will be in Ashland Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Tuesday at the Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Boyd County Animal Shelter, 1025 Bob McCullough Dr., Ashland, Kentucky, KY 41102; and Hospice Care Plus, 208 Kidd Drive, Berea, KY 40403.
