Dolly V. Dillon, 73, of Westwood, wife of William 'Bill' Dillon, died Saturday, October 21, in Community Hospice Care Center following an extended illness.
Dolly was born April 1, 1944, in Ashland, Kentucky, a daughter of the late George Gilbert and Dreamel Shelton Gilbert Miranda.
She was a member of Grace Baptist Church and a 22 year employee of Rose Hill Daycare.
She was preceded in death in addition to her mother and father by two sons, William Anthony in 1965 and William Michael in 2007; her stepfather, Herbert Miranda; two brothers, Walter E. Gilbert and Jacky Gilbert; and two sisters, Anna Louise Plowman and Juanita M. Howard.
Surviving in addition to her husband include a son, Gerald Dillon (Judy) of Flatwoods, KY; a brother, James Gilbert (Delores) of Wurtland, KY; two grandchildren, Jacob Matthew Dillon (Miranda) and Skylar Dillon; a great-grandson, Jaxton Matthew Dillon; and a special niece, Patty Filbin.
A graveside memorial service will be Wednesday, October 25, at 1 p.m. at Rose Hill Burial Park by Pastor Jerry Foster.
Arrangements are under the direction of Preston Family Funeral Home.
