Donald Edwin Qualls, 84 of Russell, passed away Friday, Nov. 3, 2017, in St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington.
Donald was born Feb. 17, 1933, in Ashland, to the late Ora Dempsey and Temperance Clark Qualls.
In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years in May of this year, Jayne Forrest Qualls; two daughters, Rebecca Jo Qualls and Donna Booth; three brothers, Dempsey Qualls, Dan Qualls and Jim Qualls; and two sisters Carrie Laborde and Edna White.
Donald was a retired contractor with Childers Construction Company and a member of Carpenter's Local 302. He was a faithful member of Unity Baptist Church.
He leaves behind his loving sons, Mark David Qualls (Chrystal) of Ashland and Kevin Forrest Qualls of Paducah; one son-in-law, David Booth of Paducah; one grandson, Joshua Qualls of Kentucky; and a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 6, 2017, at Caniff Funeral Home in Westwood with Pastor Jeremey Couture officiating. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 Monday at the funeral home.
