Dorothy Mae Crisp Counts, 89, of Flatwoods, formerly of Floyd County, widow of Frank Counts, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2017, in Oakmont Manor in Flatwoods.
She was born March 22, 1928, in Wheelwright, a daughter of the late Seaton McCall Crisp and Hazel Gullett Crisp.
She was a member of Wheelwright Freewill Baptist Church and a homemaker.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Eugene E., William and Seaton Crisp Jr.; and four sisters, Margaret Crisp, Maxine Gibson, Louise Hinkle and Reba Joyce Crisp.
She is survived by one son, Ricky Darrell (Shirley) Counts of Ashland; one daughter, Vickie Counts (Billy Ray) Compton of Banner; two grandchildren, Hannah Counts (Edward) Gloria and William (Ada) Compton; and six great-grandchildren, Caroline, Benjamin and Evelyn Gloria, Kacie, Whitney and Summer Compton.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 15, 2017, at Hall Funeral Home Chapel in Martin with Roger McCaleb officiating. Burial will be in Richmond Cemetery in Prestonsburg.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday and after 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
