Dorothy J. "Dottie" Shock, 79, of Tiffin, OH, passed away Saturday, April 7, 2018, at her residence.
Dorothy was born September 26, 1938, in Greenup, KY, to the late John Wesley Bowling and June (Howard) Boyle.
She married Robert J. Shock in Troy, OH, on June 18, 1960, and he preceded her in death in 1998.
Survivors include her children, Christopher Bowling of Reynoldsburg, Robert J. "BJ" Shock Jr. of Wapakoneta, Duane S. Shock of Green Springs, and Lorrie Shock-Heslet of Tiffin; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Roger Bowling of Walled Lake, MI, Randall Bowling of Ashland, KY; and a sister, Janice Virgin of Greenup, KY.
Dorothy was a homemaker and a crossing guard for Green Springs School for years. Dorothy attended Raccoon School in Greenup, KY.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert J. Shock; a brother, Robert "Jack" Howard; and a grandson, LCpl Jeremy S. Shock.
Celebration of life service for Dorothy will be from noon until 4 p.m. Saturday, April 14, 2018, at Tiffin Boy Rangers at 3543 North County Road 33, Tiffin, OH 44883.
Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin is assisting the family with their arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ohio Flags of Honor Memorial.
