Etta Mae Hall Moyer Sergent, 77, of Ashland, passed away Thursday, Nov. 2, 2017, in The Willows at Citation in Lexington.
Etta Mae was born Dec. 23, 1939, in Weeksburg, to the late Shirley and Dixie M. Hopkins Hall.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Ralph Moyer in 1974; her second husband, Roy Clifton Sergent in 2016; one stepdaughter, Diana Dyer; one brother, Ira "Brownie" Hall; and four sisters, Lawana Sue Hall, Billie Jean Hall, Mary Jo Hall and Wanda Lee Hall.
Etta Mae was a hair dresser and owned her own shop, Halls of Glamour, for many years. She was a member of 13th Street Free Will Baptist Church.
She leaves behind her son, Donald (Tawana) Moyer of Georgetown; two grandchildren, Hannah Moyer of Lexington and Hunter Moyer of Georgetown; two stepsons, John (Terry) Sergent and Keith (Rochelle) Sergent; three brothers, Edward Hall of Port Orange, Fla., James Rodney Hall of Ashland and Joseph Hall of Louisville; two sisters, Jackie Wolhoy and Daisy McPeek, both of Ashland; and a host of extended family and friends.
At Etta Mae's request, there will not be any visitation or funeral.
Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.
Donations in Etta Mae's memory may be sent to 13th Street Free Will Baptist Church, 3430 13th Street, Ashland, KY 41102.
Caniff Funeral Home in Westwood is in charge of arrangements.
