Frances Carolyn Riffe, 74, of Ashland, went to be with Jesus Thursday, March 1, 2018, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.
Mrs. Riffe was born Nov. 21, 1943, in Boyd County, to the late Woodrow and Marie Stambaugh Hensley.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Riffe was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Riffe; three sons, Woody, Mark and Randy Conley; three brothers, Robert Andrew Stambaugh, Jackie Ray Stambaugh and Paul David Hensley; and one sister, Delores Jean Stambaugh.
Mrs. Riffe was a server at J & J Restaurant in Ashland. She loved helping others by preparing food baskets for fundraisers and enjoyed baking, canning and cooking. Mrs. Riffe was a member of First Assembly of God in Raceland.
Mrs. Riffe is survived by three grandchildren, Zachary Moore, Randy Conley Jr., and Destiny Conley; three great-grandchildren; one brother, William "Bill" Stambaugh and wife Shirley of Flatwoods; one sister-in-law and partner-in-crime, Anna Stambaugh; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends, who all loved her dearly.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 5, 2018, at Bailey Family Funeral Home in Flatwoods with Pastor James Wells and Pastor Scott Hill officiating. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens in Flatwoods.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 4, 2018, at the funeral home.
