Freda Mae's Story
Freda Mae Stewart Rose, 79, of Grayson, went to be with her Lord Tuesday, September 19, 2017, at the Carter Nursing and Rehab Center in Grayson, KY.
Freda was born March 14, 1938, in Denton, KY, a daughter of the late Thomas and Pearl Berry Stewart Hughes.
Freda was a member of Bethel Church of God. Freda was a mom, grandma, sister and friend to everyone she knew. Freda was a nurse's aide for many years in Louisa, KY, and never met a stranger.
Including her parents, Freda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jim Ray Rose; five brothers, George Stewart, Charlie Stewart, Chester Stewart, Lawrence Hall and Tommy Joe Stewart; three sisters, Agnes Stewart, Ruth Craig and Gladys Thompson.
Freda is survived by four daughters, Terry (Harlin) Colkmire of Grayson, Sheila (David) Glaze of Catersville, GA, Cindy (Danny) Saulmon of Savannah, GA, and Connie Schobel of Houston, TX; two sons, David Johnson of Louisa, KY, and Keith (Judy) Stewart of North Carolina; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews who all mourn her passing.
Services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, September 23, 2017, at Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with R.C. Thornsberry officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Louisa, KY.
Visitation will be Friday from 6-9 p.m. at Malone Funeral Home.
