Gearldean's Story

Gearldean Mullins Sagraves, 86, of Denton, went to be with her Lord Monday, January 22, 2018, at her residence.
Geraldean was born September 14, 1931, a daughter of the late Allard and Carrie Clevenger Mullins. In addition to her parents, Gearldean was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 69 years, William Orville Sagraves; two sons, James Curtis Sagraves and William Allen Sagraves; two brothers, James Mullins and Richard Gene Mullins; one sister, Betty Grizzell, four brothers-in-law, Ray Grizzell, Calvin Jackson, Lacy Jackson and Dale Coburn; a granddaughter, Mary Sagraves; and a grandson, Charlie Salyers Jr.
Gearldean was of the Christian faith. Gearldean was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting, flowers, gardening and her animals.
Gearldean is survived by two sons, Russell (Debbie) Sagraves and Lindsey (Tina) Sagraves; two daughters, Louise (Glen) Holbrook and Carrie (Craig) Robinson all of Denton; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; nine sisters, Loretta Jo Jackson of Elizabethtown, KY, Ruie Jackson, Helen (Clinton) Stapleton both of Grayson, Faye Coburn of Flatwoods, Mary Maude (Joe) Blevins, Rita (Mike Cains) Shaffer, Debbie (Jim) Hallman, Jennie (Walter) Sammons and Jewell Marie (John) McDavid all of Grayson; three brothers, Lindsey (Caroline) Mullins of Grove City OH, Allen (Irene) Mullins and Charles Timothy Mullins both of Grayson; a daughter-in-law, Dempsey Sagraves of Hamilton, OH; a sister-in-law, Carol Mullins of Grayson; and a host of friends and extended family who all mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be at noon Friday, January 26, 2018, at Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with Paul Holbrook and Josh Marshall officiating. Burial will follow in the Sagraves Family Cemetery on Katy Branch.
Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
