Verna Genevieve Barber Stollings, 89, of Westwood, passed away Thursday, Dec. 7, 2017, in St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington.
Genevieve was born May 19, 1928, in Ashland, to the late George W. and Melinda Morris Barber.
She was a long standing member of the Baptist church. She currently attended Westwood Wesleyan Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving Husband of 65 years, Raymond "Gay" Stollings; four sisters, Beulah Mayberry, Captola Virgin, Bertha Wells and Doris Virgin.
She leaves behind her two loving daughters, Susie Howard (Richard) of Westwood and Vickie Bayless (Bill) of Ashland; one brother, Kenneth Barber (Jenny) of Catlettsburg; three grandchildren, Stephanie Reaper of Westwood, Richard Ray Howard of Westwood and Brittany McKenzie of Ashland; and two great-grandchildren, Autumn Rae Stark and Jacob Stark.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017, at Caniff Funeral Home in Westwood with Pastor Ed Cook officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
