Glenn Ray Adkins Glenn Ray Adkins, 79, of Ashland, passed away Tuesday January 1, 2019. He was born July 27, 1939 in Ashland, the son of the late Ted and Ruby Fern Brewer Adkins.
He worked for many years at Kentucky Electric Steel holding various jobs and retired as plant manager. He was also a 50 year member of the Ashland Elks Lodge #350 and attended Rose Hill Baptist Church. After retiring, he and his wife Butch traveled extensively, but mostly enjoyed spending time on their houseboat at Long Bow Marina entertaining family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceeded death by the love of his life for 57 years, his wife, Roberta A. Adkins and an infant son, Stephen Leslie Adkins. He is survived by a daughter, Dr. Lisa Fugate (Bryan) of Ashland; a son, Dr. Brian Adkins (Dedra) of Bowling Green, KY; a sister, Joyce Adkins Brown of Louisa, KY; three grandchildren, Mallory Adkins of Orlando, FL, Christopher Fugate of Cincinnati, OH and Hillary Adkins of Lexington, KY; four nieces and their families; and many cousins and friends.
Private memorial services were held on Saturday January 5, 2019 at Miller Funeral Home with Pastor David Greene officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Hospice at 1480 Carter Ave., Ashland, KY 41101.

I am so sorry for your loss. I grew up on Condit Street and spent many hours playing outside games with the many children on the street. Those were good times and I will always remember Glen fondly.
