Hope Duke Cornett Mullins, 100, of Wurtland, went to be with the Lord Friday, Dec. 15, 2017, at her residence.
She was born July 21, 1917, in Hindman, a daughter of the late Sam and Rachel Hudson Cornett.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Mullins; a daughter, Linda Connelly; and a son Kenneth Mullins.
She was a charter member of Wurtland Freewill Baptist Church.
She is survived by three sons, Joseph Franklin Mullins and wife Donna of Ironton, Ohio, Vernon Eugene Mullins and wife Debbie of Raceland and Earl Spears and wife Helen of Argillite; a daughter, Ginni Blevins and husband Carroll of Greenup; a son-in-law, Edmond Connelly of Newport Fla.; 12 grandchildren, Michele (Dave) Miller, Jordan Mullins, Hope (Bobby) Crabtree, Vernon (Leighann) Mullins, Alison (Chris) Berry, Andrew Scott, Jodi (Cliff) Evans, Gina (Amos) Carr, Noah (Lisa) Blevins, Cretia (Johnny) Burton, Michael Connelly and Daniel Mullins; 20 great-grandchildren, Lauren, Josh, Jada, Reagan, Maya, Greyson, Rob, Elijah, Ramsey, Ethan, Sam, Christopher, Jenny, James, Eli, Carson, Jordan, Lindsey, Samuel and Angela; 14 great-great-grandchildren, Sam, Ruby, Landon, Ryker, Gwenith, Isiah, Allison, Hailey, Sophia, Bella, Olivia, Bentley, Jackson and Easton; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 18, 2017, at Wurtland Freewill Baptist Church by Brother Roy Roach. Burial will be in Heaberlin Cemetery in Wurtland.
Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 17, 2017, and after 10 a.m. Monday at the church.
