Hubert "Hoss" Myers Jr., 85, of Argillite, passed away Feb. 24, 2018, at his residence.
Mr. Myers was born May 17, 1932, in Greenup County, to the late Hubert and Elizabeth Myers.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Morris and James Myers; two sisters, Juanita Peer and Betty Deer.
Hubert was of the Christian faith and ministered to many people. He served his country proudly in the United States Air Force and was retired from Armco Steel.
He was the owner of several rental properties throughout the area. He loved to drive his tractor and work on his farm. In his younger years he loved to raise horses. Hubert was also a former board member of the Federal Land Bank.
Left behind to cherish his memory is his wife, Nancy Hutchinson Myers, they would have been married 63 years on March 5; two daughters, Cheryl (Clarence Steele) Myers and Rebecca (Timothy) Harris; two sons, James Martin (Gwen) Myers and Timothy Joseph (Gina) Myers; grandchildren, Martin Myers, Jessica Qualls, Benjamin Huffman, Adam Harris and Daniel Harris; great-grandchildren, Gavin Myers, Jace Myers, Shelby Myers, Mabel Huffman, Jacob Powell, Noah Harris, Eva Harris, with two more on the way; two brothers, Gene (Hilda) Myers and Frank Morris.
Celebration of life services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 1, 2018, at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods with Jim Harris officiating. Burial will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Northeast.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, February 28, 2018, at the funeral home.
