Jack Edwin Brown, 86, of Ashland, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, January 16, 2018, in King's Daughters Medical Center.
He was born October 23, 1931, in Ashland, the son of the late Elmer Sr. and Cynthia Ellen Osborne Brown. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Shelton Brown; three brothers, Elmer Brown Jr., Curtis Brown and Richard Brown; two sisters, Pat Alosi and Nell Angle.
He was retired from AK Steel, a member of the Rose Hill Baptist Church and the local Model A Antique Car Club. He was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran.
Survivors include two daughters, Zita (William) Bowe of Caycee, S.C., and Sandie (John) Kleinberg of Fletcher, N.C.; one sister, Janet (Steve) Eimers of Bryan, TX; five grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 20, 2018, at Rose Hill Baptist Church by Dr. Matt Shamblin. Burial will follow at Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens with military services by the Kenova American Legion Post 93.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Miller Funeral Home.
