Judith Ann "Judy" Picklesimer Tiller, 51, of Rush, passed peacefully to her Heavenly home Friday, Sept. 29, 2017, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, with her family at her side.
Judy was born July 6, 1966, in Franklin, Ind., one of five beautiful daughters of the late Charles R. and Lore Trilling Picklesimer.
She graduated from Indian Creek and Trafalgar in Indiana. She was a nurse for Boyd County School System and previously at King's Daughters Medical Center.
Judy was a community volunteer and served alongside her devoted husband at Liberty Baptist Church, where he is the Pastor.
For two years she and Dicky were volunteers with the Ramey Estepp Foster Home. She lovingly opened her home and her heart to many foreign exchange students, one of these, Paul, flew from Germany to be by her side at the time of her passing.
She is survived by her loving husband of fifteen years, Dicky Tiller; her sisters, Cathy Powell and husband Paul of Clayton, Ind., Patty Weaver and husband Bill of Indianapolis, Ind., Tammy Dunham and husband Chris of Greenwood, Ind., and Monika Duncan and husband Don of Morgantown, Ind.; and the students from abroad they have shared their home with, Paul Rudloff, Ben Berres, Steffano Vaughy, Nicholas Trapphegn and Ludvig Jatterbug.
A Celebration of Life will be at 7 p.m., Monday, Oct. 2, 2017, at Oakland Avenue Baptist Church, 3265 Oakland Avenue in Catlettsburg with Dr. Jerry Foster and Pastor Jeff Ferguson officiating.
A private burial will be Tuesday in East Carter County Memory Gardens.
Visiting hours will be from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Monday at the church.
