Judy Ann Penix Lamothe, 74, of Flatwoods, passed away Thursday Oct. 26, 2017, in King's Daughters Medical Center with her family by her side.
Mrs. Lamothe was born March 9, 1943, in Ashland, to the late Elzie and Goldie Robbins Penix.
Judy was preceded in death by her daughter Vicky Dooley in June.
Judy retired in 1987 as a nurses aid from Wurtland Manor and had worked at Elmwood Village. She enjoyed Bingo and going to the races. She was a member of American Legion Post 93 and Ironville Baptist Church.
She is survived by her adoring husband of 38 years, David Lamothe; two grandsons, Tyler (Erin) Dooley and Chase Dooley; three precious great-granddaughters, Autumn and Kaili Dooley and Regan Burton; her brother, Charles Penix is the only survivor of 14 children.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 30, 2017, at Neal Funeral Home, 2409 Center Street in Catlettsburg with Brother Perry Young officiating. Final resting place will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Childrens Hospitals or AARF.
