Karen's Story

Mrs. Karen Jewell Hall Moore, 73, of Lexington, passed away Tuesday, Dec, 26, 2017, in St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
She was born Oct. 28, 1944, in Carter County, a daughter of the late Cecil and June Fultz Hall.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Lloyd Moore, and one sister, Rhoda Miller.
Karen was of the Baptist faith and retired from King's Daughters Medical Center as a phlebotomist. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren.
Karen is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, David Moore and Terry of Lexington; two daughters and a son-in-law, Dana King of Apopka, Fla., and Melissa Wilson and Joel of Ashland; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services will be at noon Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017, at Grayson Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Brother Mike Rice officiating. Entombment will be in East Carter Memory Gardens in Grayson.
Friends may visit from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday at the funeral home.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
