Leatrice Dolores White Stafford, 88, of Ashland, passed away Thursday, Dec. 29, 2016, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.
She was born Oct. 12, 1928, in Vanceburg, to the late Arnold Edmond Rice and Vina Opal Williamson Rice.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Allie Ellwood White on Aug. 8, 1994; a brother, Tom; a sister, Louise; a grandson, Nathan Litteral; and a stepson, Robert Stafford.
She attended Heritage Freewill Baptist Church and was a loving and devoted homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Stafford; five sons, Addison "Woody" (Marlene) White, John Arnold White, Starl Layne White, Anthony Lee (Amy) White and Shane Wesley White; two daughters, Sandra Kay White and Robbin Lynn White Davis; two stepsons, Darren and Greg Stafford; a stepdaughter, Carla (Blair) Settlemyre; 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 2, 2017, at Steen Funeral Home 13th Street Chapel in Ashland with The Rev. Ed Cook and The Rev. Brandon DePriest officiating.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at White Cemetery in Morehead.
