Talmadge Tomlin Jr., 54, of Westwood, died Sunday, June 25, 2017, in Ashland.
Talmadge was born Jan. 7, 1963, in Ashland, a son of the late M. Talmadge Tomlin Sr. and Sheila Hall Tomlin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Joseph; and a sister, Melissa.
He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces and was disabled from a debilitating automobile accident many years ago.
Talmadge was a friend to any who knew him and was always one to lend a helping hand to anyone that needed it. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved to tinker on cars and machinery.
Surviving include two brothers, Charles Tomlin of Ashland, and Kyle Tomlin of Maryville, Ohio; his girlfriend, Susie Hunt; four aunts, Denise Hill of Westwood, Dana Waller and her husband, Bill, of Westwood, Pam Bluebaum and her husband, Denver, of Westwood, and Kay Wheatley of Cannonsburg; three uncles, Gary Tomlin, Allen Tomlin Jr. and Darrell Tomlin all of Greenup County.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 29, 2017, at Dixon Cemetery in Westwood by pastor Mike Rice.
Arrangements are under the direction of Preston Family Funeral Home. Contributions may be sent in Talmadge's memory in lieu of flowers, to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 110 Conn Terrace, Lexington, KY 40508.
