Mary Margaret (Barber) Fuller Montroy was born Dec. 20, 1920, in Ashland, to Wirt C. and Mary Hazel (Scott) Barber.
She was called Home June 26, 2018, in Trinity, FL, with family at her side.
Mary grew up in Ashland and joined the Navy in WWII serving as an artillery gunnery instructor stationed at Treasure Island in CA.
Following the war, she married and raised her children in Indiana and Michigan before remarrying and retiring to Chetek, WI. She later joined her kids in Florida.
Mary was a passionate golfer, loved coffee, a glass of wine, anything chocolate, playing cards, laughing with friends and family and travel.
Preceding Mary in death are her parents; brothers, Robert and Charles Barber; her beloved aunt, Alma Barber; aunt Ruth Tackett Griggs; son James Michael Fuller; and husbands, James Fuller and Robert Montroy.
Her legacy includes her daughter, Judy (James) Nichols and a son, David (Marilyn) Fuller both of Trinity, FL, son Dennis (Nong) Fuller of Thailand; grandchildren, Brandi (Anthony) Abrams of Sumrall, MS, Brian (Anna Kliewer) Fuller of Stuttgart, Germany, Joshua Fuller of Edwardsburg, MI, and Julie Fuller of Thailand; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Mary touched many lives and hearts. Everyone who knew and loved her will cherish her spirit and never forget her.
In lieu of flowers or memorials, family asks that you raise a cup or glass in honor of her memory.
