Michael Gregory "Greg" "Snoozer" Arnett, 60, of Ashland, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2017, at his home, his loving family at his side.
Greg was born August 19, 1957, in Ashland, to Wanda Shockey Arnett of Catlettsburg and the late Paul Arnett.
He was a 1975 graduate of Boyd County High School and a lineman for Chain Electric, a member of the Eagles and Elks in Ashland, his hobbies included UK Basketball, deer hunting and fishing.
He was raised on Whites Creek and attended Whites Creek United Methodist Church when he was growing up.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his adoring wife of 18 years, Brenda Kirk Arnett; son Christopher "Mikey" Arnett and his wife, Debbie, of Catlettsburg; daughter Stephanie Lucas of Ashland; grandchildren, Alexis Dae, Austin Blake, Ashton James and Jordan Lucas. Also surviving are brothers, Paul David Arnett (Debbie) of Catlettsburg, Scott Wayne Arnett (Trish) of Catlettsburg; and sister Melanie Harris (Timothy) of Ashland.
In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by grandparents, Frank and Magel Shockey, Tony and Virgie Arnett; and father and mother-in-law, Robert W. and Bonnie Lee Kirk.
Funeral services for Mr. Arnett will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 13, 2017, at Neal Funeral Home, 2409 Center Street, Catlettsburg. Pastor Brandon DePrist. Final resting place in Bowling Cemetery, Whites Creek.
Visiting hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
