Nancy's Story

Nancy Irene Landis, 75, of Ashland, died Monday, Jan. 29, 2018, in King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
Nancy was born Dec. 6, 1942, in DuBois, Penn., a daughter of the late Allison Frederick and Anna Belle Smith Conor.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Allison Conor; and two sisters, Patty Tapper and Barbara Moser.
Nancy was a member of Kilgore United Methodist Church, where she was very active in the church. She worked at Cedar-Knoll Galleria K-Mart as the Jewelry Manager until its closing and was a retired Accounts payable clerk with Woodland Oaks.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, William A. Landis; two daughters, Christie (David) McGlone of Catlettsburg and Connie (Duane) Brannan of Marietta, Ohio; two granddaughters, Elizabeth "Libby" McGlone of Catlettsburg and Brittany (Melissa) Brannan of Stockport, Ohio; and one brother, John Conor of DuBois, Penn.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, 2018, at Kilgore United Methodist Church with Pastor Guy Moyer officiating. Entombment will be in Ashland Cemetery Mausoleum. Pallbearers will be her two sons-in-law, David McGlone and Duane Brannan, along with Jeff McGlone, Ronnie Daniels and Michael "Brad" Marshall.
Friends my call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 1, 2018, and after noon Friday at the church.
Lazear Funeral Home in Ashland is in charge of arrangements.
