Mrs. Nannie Lucille Webb Fannin, 88, of Ashland, passed away Thursday, March 1, 2018, at her residence, with her loving family by her side.
She was born Dec. 1, 1929, in Boyd County, a daughter of the late Maude and Luther "Bud" Webb Sr.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Luther Webb Jr.; and one sister, Jean Hays.
Nannie was of the Methodist faith and a lifelong homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, listening to gospel music and spending time with her family and friends.
She and her husband Bill, partner in life for over 66 years, traveled extensively during their retirement years attending numerous gospel shows and revivals.
But more than anything else, Nannie loved children and to that end provided a safe and learning environment for a generation of children by babysitting for numerous families over the years.
Nannie is survived by her husband, William Edward "Bill" Fannin; two sons, William Kyle Fannin (Lyann) of Versailles and David Keith Fannin of Proctorville, Ohio; two daughters, Kim Moore (Chuck) of Cincinnati, Ohio and Kelly McMeans (John) of Ashland; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
At Nannie's request, there will not be a service or visitation.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Nannie's memory may be made to Community Hospice Center, 2330 Pollard Road, Ashland, KY 41101.
