Paul David Hendrix, 85, of Ashland, passed away Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.
Mr. Hendrix was born April 25, 1931, in Richmond, a son of the late Anson Tiff and Kate Mae Gayheart Hendrix.
He retired with 23 years of service from King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland as Vice President of General Services which encompassed several areas of operations within the Hospital. He and his wife also owned and operated Tri-State Liquidations in Ashland for many years before turning it over to their children.
Paul served his country during the Korean War with the U.S. Army and was of the Baptist faith.
He is survivors by his wife of 61 years, Loraine Fielder Hendrix of Ashland; his son, David Hendrix Jr. of Ashland; his daughters, Lynn Hendrix Berry of Ashland and Vickie Hendrix Stacy of Ashland; two brothers, Melvin Hendricks of Nashville, Tenn., and Dudley Hendricks of Stewart, Fla.; two sisters Bonnie Spicer of Richmond and Nancy Tevis of Richmond; four grandchildren, Craig (Amy) Berry, Jason (Misty) Stacy, Michael (Erica) Berry and Elizabeth Stacy; five great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2017, at Steen Funeral Home - 13th Street Chapel in Ashland with Chaplain Randy Tate officiating. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
