After a six year battle with Alzheimers, Paul Randall "Randy" Shelton, 69, of Catlettsburg, passed away Sunday, July 30, 2017, at his home with his family at his side.
Mr. Shelton was born June 29, 1948, in Ashland, to the late Arnold F. and Helen Virginia Horn Shelton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Arnold Fredrick Shelton.
Randy was a graduate of Fairview High School and attended Morehead State University. He retired as a pipefitter and a master plumber. He enjoyed playing with his grandkids, fishing, was an avid golfer and UK fan. He was a member of Burnaugh Baptist Church.
He is survived by his adoring wife of 29 years, Linda Opell Shelton; four children, Paul R. Shelton II of Catlettsburg, Jeffrey Shelton and wife Joy of Ashland, Jennifer Febish and husband Jay of Lexington and Jason McKenzie and wife Vicki of Riverside, Calif.; 11 grandchildren, Hannah, Ambrosia, Jay, John, Taylor, Holly, Elijah, Jacob, Matthew, Isaac and Isabella; one sister, Mary Collins of Florida; and a sister-in-law, Beverly Shelton of Ashland.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 2, 2017, at Kilgore & Collier Funeral Home located 2702 Panola Street in Catlettsburg with Brother Pete Miller officiating. Final resting place will be in Moore Family Cemetery in Lawrence County.
Visiting hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Funeral Home.
