Pauline's Story

Edith Pauline Eidson Steele, 88, of Catlettsburg, passed away Monday, December 11, 2017, in Community Hospice Care Center, her devoted family at her side.
Ms. Steele was born May 27, 1929, in Catlettsburg, to the late Robert Hayden and Ollie Mae Neal Eidson. Also preceding in death were brothers, John Eidson, Robert Eidson; sisters, Easter Mae Black, Mary Black, Loretta Jorgensen and Janet Collins.
She attended Thomas R. Brown High School and retired in 1994 as a dietician for Elmwood Village Nursing Home.
Pauline was a member of Tri-State Cloggers and Twin Fork Church of the Nazarene. Her hobbies included clogging and puzzles. She devoted her life to being a wonderful mother and grandmother, she made sacrifices so that her family had everything they needed.
Pauline is survived by her children, Daniel M. "Mike" Steele, his wife Cheryl, Thomas W. Steele, his wife Tammy, Mark A. Steele, his wife Teri and Robert P. Steele, his fiancé Sonya Porter all of Catlettsburg; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Thomas Eidson of South Point, OH.
Funeral services for Ms. Steele are at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 14, 2017, at the Kilgore & Collier Funeral Home, 2702 Panola Street, Catlettsburg. Brother Mike Neal will officiate. Final resting place in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.
Visiting hours are 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
