Phyllis Colleen Ray, 73, of Ashland, went home to be with her Heavenly Father Monday, Dec. 25, 2017.
She lived a life devoted to loving her family and serving the Lord. She was an example of Christ's love to everyone who knew her. Although she will be greatly missed here on earth, she has received the ultimate reward and will forever be in Heaven shining down on all of us.
In addition to her parents, Edgar and Sallie Abrams Thompson, Phyllis was preceded in death by three brothers, Elmer Thompson, Paul Thompson and Charles Thompson; and one sister, Ruth Noble.
She is survived by her loving husband, Henry E. Ray Sr.; two sons, Henry Ray Jr. and wife Brenda of Ashland and Shannon Ray and wife Teasi of Tampa, Fla.; one brother, Willard Thompson and wife Debbie of Cattletsburg; seven grandchildren, Whitney and husband Garrett, Justin, Hailey and husband Alex, Samantha, Courtney, Kelsey and Brandon.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 29, 2017, at Preston Family Funeral Home. Burial will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.
