Ralph Wick Cooke, 93, of Grayson, went to be with his Lord on Friday, December 29, 2017, in St. Claire Medical Center in Morehead, KY.
Ralph was born January 9, 1924, in Grayson, a son of the late William Marcus and Dora Bay Cooke.
He was a retired pipe fitter in local 248 in Ashland, a member of the American Legion and he loved to hunt and fish.
He proudly served in the Army in Germany during WWII.
He was preceded in death by six brothers, Herchell, Claude, Garrett, Leslie, Lawrence and William Cooke; four sisters, Grace Lawson, Mabel Jaynes, Deloris Hammond and Vivian Steele.
He is survived by a son, Donald (Kelly) Cooke of Grayson; two daughters, Debbie (Jim) Everman of Grayson and Donna (Tim) Chamberlin of Wheelersburg, OH; two sisters, Charlotte Kelley of Grayson and Louise Knipp of Phoenix, AZ; one brother, James Garfield Cooke of Cary, N.C.; four grandchildren, Blake Cooke of Olive Hill, KY, Sarah Everman of Nashville, TN, Keelie Chatfield of Richmond, KY and Breanna McDavid of Grayson; four great-grandchildren.
Services will be Friday, January 5, 2018, at 1 p.m. at East Carter County Memory Gardens with full military honors.
