Retha M. Fox, 100, of Zephyrhills, FL., formerly of Ashland, passed away Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018, in Gulfside Center for Hospice Care in Zephyrhills.
Retha was born May 18, 1917, in Cabin Creek, WV, a daughter of the late Houston E. and Nellie Pack Williams. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas H. Fox; brothers, Delmar B. Williams and Earl Kendall Williams; sisters, Jane Brown, Phyllis Murphy, Nancy Wells; and her stepsister, Ruth Stambaugh.
Retha had lived in VanLear, KY, before moving to Ashland in 1941. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the United Transportation Union.
She was a sales associate with more than 30 years of service at Pollock's Jewelers and the former Polan's Jewelers in Ashland.
Survivors include her son, Ronald Dean Fox of San Antonio, FL; sister Glenna Music of VanLear; her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Michael Brent Fox of Olive Hill, KY, children, Michael Blaydes Fox and Ryan Alexandra Fox, and their mother, Chesla Blaydes Fox; Melissa Fox Wood of Wesley Chapel, FL, and her children, Matthew Ryan Wood and Nicholas David Wood, Candice Fox Prince and husband, Tim Prince of Conway, SC, and their children, Sara Ashlyn Fox Prince and Samuel Thomas Prince; sister-in-law Margaret Fox Collins of Venice, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family members and dear friends.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, February 9, 2018, at Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum Chapel in Ashland with burial immediately following the service.
Friends may call after 1 p.m. Friday at the mausoleum chapel.
