Rev. John's Story
The Rev. John P. Noe, 70, of Ashland, died Monday, Feb. 12, 2018, in King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
Rev. Noe was born June 9, 1947, in Cincinnati, Ohio, a son of the late Clyde and Amelia Jacobs Noe.
Rev. Noe graduated from Elder High School in 1965 in Cincinnati, Seminary at St. Gregory Seminary in Cincinnati, St. Pius the 10th in Erlanger and Pontifical Collage Of Josephinum in Worthington, Ohio. He became an ordained priest June 1, 1974, at the Basilica of Assumption, ordained by Bishop Richard Ackerman. He served various parishes and high schools, Chaplain for St. Elizabeth Medical Center and Chaplain for the Federal Prison System from 1981 to 2001 for more than 20 years and became the priest at Holy Family Catholic Church in Ashland.
He is survived by his brother, C. Edward Noe of Cincinnati; two sisters, Mary Pat Rolfes of Cincinnati and Judy Cook of Burlington; nieces and nephews, Adam (Tiffany Neufarth) Noe, Don Rolfes, Rose Boehmer; and great-nieces and nephews.
A mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, at Holy Family Church.
Friends may call at the church on Friday, Feb. 16, 2018, from 5 to 7 p.m. with a prayer service beginning at 7 p.m. at the church and one hour before mass on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018.
